Attendees at MarketHub events gain insights from both Skift AND Phocuswright

Representatives from Skift and Phocuswright recently joined the long list of industry thought leaders who have spoken at MarketHub events, including business lobby groups, bankers, management consultants, technology giants, and even astronauts – plus of course our leading hotel partners. 

At the MarketHub Americas and Europe events in May, both Skift AND Phocuswright gave key-note speeches followed by hosting panel sessions with leading figures from the hotel distribution sector. 

Skift chose to focus on how the travel network is being disrupted by newcomers to the market, whilst Phocuswright instead chose to focus on how established companies should react to these changes to ensure further growth. 

From Phocuswright we were honoured that Robert Cole – a Phocuswright renowned contributor and founder of the RockCheetah consultancy – spoke at the Americas event; and that Dr. Peter O’Connor – Senior Market Analyst – spoke at the European event.

Meanwhile from Skift we were also proud to have Dennis Schaal – Skift’s founding editor no less – participate at our Americas event whilst the Skift European Correspondent Patrick Whyte was at our European event. 

We were very grateful too for the insights and comments from panelists appearing in the Skift and Phocuswright round-tables on stage. At the European event these included Eric Zhuang from Dida Travel, John Healy from JSF Travel & Tourism Foundation, Morné du Preez from Tourvest, Tarique Khatri from Seera Group, Üzcan Sirin from Kilit Group, and Tom Jenkins from the European Tour Operators Association. 

As on previous occasions, MarketHub events brought together for a three day event the senior decision makers of the leading tour operator, airline, travel agency, and loyalty and reward partners globally in a dynamic environment of networking, learning and fun.
