    Hotelbeds reaffirms commitment to China with local domain launch of hotel extranet

    As part of our commitment to the fast growing Chinese market – already our fourth largest source market globally – in April we launched a China-based hotel extranet solution for hoteliers operating in China.


    China-based hoteliers now have access to a Chinese version of MaxiRoom, the Hotelbeds free hotel extranet that was launched in 2015, via the Chinese domain https://www.maxiroom.cn/. This allows them to work both in the Chinese language and access MaxiRoom without government imposed restrictions.


    MaxiRoom is designed to control and maximize hotel occupancy rates through Hotelbeds’ distribution channels in a much faster, smarter and easier way. 


    Adam Krzciuk Kuna, Head of Supplier Connectivity Partnerships, explains the importance of the new service: “Doing business in China requires a bespoke approach as their technology platforms are different. In the past we used a non-domestic website which meant that some of our hoteliers in China couldn’t always access our hotel extranet due to the Chinese firewall. The domestic domain is created to improve usability and functionality, which is part of our commitment to offer hotels a segmented and ever stronger value proposition that will make us the best company to work with.”


    MaxiRoom helps hoteliers to be more competitive, since it offers information about performance in comparison with local competitors; it also allows hoteliers to make decisions to improve their competitiveness and content in order to optimize production. 


    In addition, the platform also provides hoteliers with the necessary information to make decisions about their pricing strategy, thanks to easy access to information on their products by source market and distribution channel.
