In a report featured in Skift, Hotelbeds has been named as the channel that provides the longest staying guests.
According to a new report titled ‘How online hotel distribution is changing in Europe’, at an average of 2.77 nights Hotelbeds offers hotels in Europe the longest average guest stay when compared to any other booking source, including a hotel’s own website.
In fact, depending on the market and how you measure it, our own figures show that the average stay via our platform can be as high as 5 nights.
This important information was published by D-Edge, the new hospitality brand created by the merger of Availpro and Fastbooking.
At Hotelbeds we were very pleased to note that the report also confirmed that we also offer the longest lead time – and the highest average value, with the only exception being from guests who book via the hotel’s website.
These figures in part explain why the report also confirms that bedbanks and wholesalers have grown their volumes by over 100% over the last five years.
